Visual storytelling through photography, painting and workshops.
Marie Uribe de la Palma is a multidisciplinary visual artist, photographer and mural artist based in Paris, working across portrait photography, mural art, window painting, hand-painted signs and creative workshops. Her practice connects image, storytelling and painted space, creating visual experiences for brands, businesses, hospitality venues, cultural spaces and private clients.
With projects developed in France and abroad, including India, Thailand and Cambodia, her work is rooted in identity, atmosphere and human connection. Whether through photography, a site-specific mural or a workshop, she creates work that brings character, meaning and visual coherence to people and places.

My photography practice moves between natural light, studio and analogue work, spanning portraiture, reportage and visual storytelling. Whether the commission is personal, artistic or professional, I create images with close attention to atmosphere, identity and composition.
I work with artists, brands, businesses and private clients on projects ranging from portraits and editorial imagery to corporate content, fashion-oriented sessions and more intimate visual narratives.
Each project begins with a conversation, by phone or in person, to understand the vision, needs and sensibility behind the images. Depending on the commission, I can also provide guidance on styling, wardrobe and visual direction, whether through light advice or a more tailored approach.
During the shoot, I guide the person in front of the camera so they are not left on their own, but supported in a way that helps the images feel both natural and intentional. From simple sessions to more complete bespoke experiences, each commission is shaped according to the project, the level of support required and the available budget.
I also create custom plaster reliefs for walls and interior spaces. These pieces can be minimal and understated or more sculptural and symbolic, depending on the atmosphere you want to create. Designed specifically for the space, they bring texture, depth and character to a wall while remaining elegant and fully integrated into the identity of the place.
Each project is developed in dialogue with the client, taking into account the architecture, the surface, the desired level of relief and the visual language of the space. Whether for a private interior, a hospitality venue or a commercial setting, plaster reliefs offer a refined way to create something unique, tactile and site-specific.

My painting practice includes mural art, hand-painted signs and custom lettering for interiors, storefronts and commercial spaces. From large-scale walls to smaller painted elements, I create visual interventions that bring character, coherence and identity to a place.
Depending on the project, the result can be bold or understated, decorative or more graphic, always with close attention to the architecture of the space, its colour palette, its rhythm and what needs to be highlighted.
Lettering and painted signage can take many forms, from storefront names and wall texts to menus, directional elements or hand-painted details that strengthen the visual presence of a business.
Murals can be developed in response to a story, a concept, a specific atmosphere or the spirit of a place, whether the aim is to create warmth, elegance, softness or stronger visual impact. The style, composition and chromatic choices are shaped by the identity of the space, so that the final result feels fully integrated rather than simply added on.
Portraits in mural art create an immediate sense of presence. They can anchor a space emotionally, giving it a face, a mood and a story. Whether the figure is specific or universal, famous or anonymous, realistic or stylised, a portrait has the ability to transform a wall into something more human, expressive and memorable.
My mural portraits can be minimalist or more layered, sometimes intertwined with flowers, clouds or symbolic elements that enrich the narrative and connect the figure to the identity of the place. In some settings, a portrait may embody the spirit of a community or a shared experience rather than representing one person literally. It can evoke femininity, strength, softness, introspection or belonging, depending on the concept behind the project. In this way, portrait murals become more than decorative interventions: they help create a visual atmosphere and a deeper emotional resonance within the space.
My workshops are designed as creative and accessible experiences, open to different ages, contexts and levels of experience. They include cyanotype, watercolour and street art workshops, each with its own language and possibilities.
Some are especially playful and well suited to children, while others can be adapted for adults, groups, cultural spaces, private events or more contemplative creative moments. Whether through printing with light, exploring colour on paper or experimenting with street art techniques, each workshop invites participants to discover, create and enjoy the process freely.
Cyanotype workshops offer a particularly open and imaginative approach, allowing participants to create their own prints using plants, objects, textures, drawings or negatives, and to leave with finished pieces made during the session. Watercolour workshops can move between floral studies, postcard formats, abstraction or simple observation, with an introduction to colour mixing, gesture and the behaviour of paint on paper. Street art workshops can include stencil, spray paint and brush techniques, offering a more dynamic and expressive entry into image-making.
Across all formats, my aim is to create a space where creativity feels playful, spontaneous and nourishing — a moment to slow down, experiment and reconnect with making outside of pressure or productivity.
The cyanotype workshop is a hands-on introduction to one of the earliest photographic processes, allowing participants to create images without a camera. Using light, plants, objects, textures, drawings or negatives, each person explores the many creative possibilities of this deep blue printing technique.
Both playful and accessible, the workshop is suitable for children and adults, and offers a moment of experimentation, discovery and artistic freedom. Participants leave with their own cyanotype prints, created during the session.
